Product Introduction AS Ningbo Formosa Plastics NF2200 is a high‑flow, high‑transparency acrylonitrile‑styrene copolymer (SAN) resin. It features good rigidity, heat resistance and excellent processability.

Main Applications

Daily‑use Articles: Audio‑cassette cases, lighter housings, trash bins, toothbrush handles, pen barrels, cups, tableware, cosmetic packaging, etc.

Electronic, Electrical & Household‑Appliance Components: Transparent panels for electrical products, instrument casings, dashboards, battery boxes, storage‑battery enclosures, junction boxes, electric‑fan blades and other parts.

General Industrial Components: Tractor fuel tanks, packaging containers, lamp shades, building‑material products such as decorative panels.

Other Applications: Also used for certain non‑structural interior parts in the automotive industry.

Injection‑Molding Parameters

Drying Treatment 80°C, 2‑4 hours AS resin is hygroscopic. Sufficient drying is required (moisture content below 0.1% recommended), otherwise silver streaks and bubbles may occur on finished‑part surfaces.
Barrel Temperature Rear zone:180‑210℃ (reference)
Middle zone:200‑230℃ (reference)
Front zone:220‑250℃ (reference)
Nozzle: Slightly lower than front‑zone temperature to prevent drooling
Melt Processing Temperature 200‑250 °C Slightly lower temperature can be adopted for thick‑wall products.
Mold Temperature 40‑80℃ 50‑60°C for high‑precision parts; 60‑80°C for high‑gloss and high‑heat‑resistance requirements. Mold temperature directly affects appearance, shrinkage and warpage of molded parts.
Injection Pressure 70‑130 MPa (approx.700‑1300 kg/cm²) Adjust according to flow length and product structure. AS has slightly lower flowability than PS, so relatively higher injection pressure is needed.
